Hjemmelaget horn med ost og skinke! (oppskrift) / Homemade horn with cheese and ham! (recipe)

Ofc, did we need some baking during Christmas as well, you know!

Ingredienser:

1kg mel
1 ts salt
200g smør
4dl melk
1 pk gjær
400g skinke i terninger
400g revet ost

Framgangsmåte:

1. Bland 700g mel og salt i en bolle.
2. Smelt smøret og ha i melken. La dette bli lunket.
3. Tilsett gjæra i melkeblandingen og ror godt.

In English:

Ingredients:

1kg flour
1tbs salt
200g butter
4dl milk
50g yeast
400g ham in dices
400g grated cheese

Let's get to it:

1. Mix 700g flour and the salt into a boll.
2. Melt the butter and add the milk. Let it cool down to body temperature.
3. Add the yeast and mix well.
4. Place all the dry ingredients on one side of the ball, and then add the wet ones on the other side. Mix well until you get a sticky consistence.
5. Little by little you FOLD IN some more flour until you get a solid, but still a little stick dough.
6. Let the dough rest while you cut the ham into dices or grated the cheese. I didn't watch the clock, since the dough is not supposed to swollen so much.
7. Sprinkle some more flour on the table, before taking out the dough and cut it into two peaces. Flour your roller pin and role the dough into a pizza shape, around 1-2 cm thick.
8. Cut the pizza shaped dough into 8 pizza slices and fill them with cheese and ham. Role them together and let them rest for 30 min or longer, until they have grown bigger.

[Interior] Homemade Mosquito Trap

Have you noticed the Mosquitos are already out! Here is a homemade trap to help keep you and the kiddos from being a blood donor!!!

HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP:
Items needed:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle

HOW:
1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)

Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control.
